Your Stories, Your Experience

The Hysterectomy Association are launching a request for your stories about hysterectomy – from the beginning to the end, pre-operation to post-recovery, funny and not so funny events and the distressing emotional aspects as well as the empowering ones as well. Did anyone say anything you weren’t expecting, do something you appreciated or help you in ways you weren’t expecting?

The purpose of the project is to produce a new book to help raise funds for The Association and we hope that it will be available by the end of this year. So why not help us to help others and send us in your story.

Requirements – Please Read Before Submitting

We would appreciate it if you could keep your stories and experiences to around 500 words, although if you have more than one that you would like to include then please do send in a second submission – although we can’t guarantee to print both.

Please send them in by email in the body of the email and NOT as an attachment. Please do not include any prior formatting as we will have to remove this to ensure that it conforms the the standards we set for the book.

We would also appreciate it if you would avoid using offensive language or terms and we won’t be able to include any web addresses in the book, although we can include physical addresses of help organisations as long as they are happy to be cited.

We will acknowledge everyone who provides a story in the book if you would like us to, however if you would prefer to remain anonymous in the final version please let us know in your submission and we will ensure that your details are not revealed.
