Coffee Could Lower Risk of Uterus Cancer

A Japanese study in 2008 has revealed that women who drink a lot of coffee may be able to reduce their risk of developing cancer of the uterus (uterine cancer).  The study which was led by the Japanese Health Ministry monitored over 54,000 women aged between 40 and 69 for a fifteen year period.  They found that 117 of these women developed uterine cancer.

The team monitored both coffee and green drinking amongst the women and found that whilst there was no link to uterine cancer with green tea, those women who drank three or more cups of coffee a day reduced their risk of developing cancer of the uterus by 60%.
