Hysteria 2012 Short Story and Poetry Writing Competion – Are you up for it?

I’ve just announced the start of a brand new writing competition for women it’s called Hysteria 2012 and will give women writers and poets a chance to have their short stories and poetry published in an anthology called Hysteria 2012. Are you up for the challenge? The stories and poems can be in any genre except erotica and horror but they must be written with women in mind and be written by women. There will be ten winners in each category each winning publication in the anthology and one overall winner in each category will also get a cash prize of £400 as well. The anthology will be published on behalf of the Hysterectomy Association and will be available to purchase in all online bookstores and from The Hysterectomy Association itself from November 2012.

There are of course rules to be adhered to and anyone interested in entering can find them on the Hysterectomy Association’s website here: http://www.hysterectomy-association.org.uk/index.php/latest-news/hysteria-2012-short-story-and-poetry-writing-competition/

The Hysterectomy Association are planning to make this an annual event and for it to be a significant way to introduce readers to some brand new voices they may not have heard before.

Having a hysterectomy is usually a lengthy business, involving much time off work and not doing much of anything either and as a result our website users find themselves reading heavily which is why we’d like to suggest that they read something other than our hysterectomy books.  The site currently attracts several hundred thousand visitors each month and one of our books is a best seller on Amazon in both the UK and the USA.

The anthology will be heavily marketed and promoted and all the winners will get a chance to be interviewed on various websites and blogs (including this one).

So come on all you authors and writers out there – get writing and sharing your stories with us and our readers.

You can enter on the website here: http://www.hysterectomy-association.org.uk/index.php/latest-news/hysteria-2012-short-story-and-poetry-writing-competition/
