Meeting Sal Page – Hysteria 2015 Judge

Sal has a Creative Writing MA from Lancaster University and has been placed in several competitions and short- and long- listed in many more. In 20011 she won the Calderdale Short Story Prize and in 2013 the Greenacre Writers Short Story Competition. Sal has had published in various places. In print; The National Flash Fiction Day Anthologies 2012 and 2014, Jawbreakers and Eating My Words, Greenacre Writers Anthology Volumes 1 & 3, Stories for Homes and The Flash Dogs Anthology. Online; 330Words, Paragraph Planet, The Pygmy Giant and The Angry Hourglass.

She has written two novels, the second of which is now being submitted to agents.

Emma Norry

Meeting Emma Norry – Hysteria 2015 Judge

Emma completed an MA in Screenwriting at Bournemouth Universityand a Film degree in 1997. She has had previous short fiction in small magazines: Spiked, Aesthetica, Ink and on and was a runner up in the Rhys Davies Award 2005. In 2013 she was selected to be part of a collaborative US project between writers and photographers entitled Fading Light in Open to Interpretation Her highlights in 2014 included being placed 3rd in West Sussex Writing Competition, included in the NFFD print anthology Eat my Words and being long listed for the S1 Leeds Literary prize and shortlisted for the HG Wells competitions.

Elizabeth runs the annual Chudleigh Phoenix Short Story Competition, currently in its fifth year; and as a member of Exeter Writers takes part in the judging of their annual competition.

Diane Simmons

Meeting Diane Simmons – Hysteria 2015 Judge

Diane studied creative writing with the Open University, has a Diploma in Creative Writing (with Distinction) and has been writing for 8 years. She has entered numerous competitions and has had some success. She currently runs a writing group critiquing each other’s work. She writes mainly flash fiction and has had stories published in the NFFD anthology in both 2013 and 2014. Finally, she performed two of her stories at the Bristol NFFD event in 2014. In last year’s Hysteria flash competition, two of her stories were runners up.

Ginna Wilkerson

Meeting Ginna Wilkerson – Hysteria 2015 Judge

Ginna Wilkerson completed a Ph.D. in Creative Writing at University of Aberdeen in 2013, also the year of publication of her first poetry collection, Odd Remains. In both text and visual art, Ginna concentrates on a surrealist view of the internal world. Her photographs have been displayed in both Scotland, Spain, and the US. In summer 2014, Ginna was in residency at Can Serrat Artist’s Residence in El Bruc, Spain, and plans a residency at Small Pond Arts in Canada in 2015. Currently, she teaches at Ringling College of Art and Design.
