Welcome to this weeks Weekly Word, which is ‘OLIGARCH‘ and I’d like to challenge you to find an unusual, imaginative or correct usage of the word in a single sentence or a paragraph.

This weeks word is OLIGARCH, it is a noun pronounced ‘ol-e-gaaa-k’

Oligarch means a ruler in an oligarchy (where power rests in the hands of small group of people). It has also acquired a modern meaning as a wealthy business person with significant political influence, especially used to refer to such people in Russia. It is often used now to imply corruption.
