Breast Tumour Growth

It is widely known that breast tumours grow more quickly when they are exposed to oestrogen, women becoming pregnant are thus exposed to extra oestrogen. However a recent Danish study has claimed that pregnancy after breast cancer treatment does not necessarily increase the risk of recurrence. (The Lancet; [1997]; Vol 350:9074; 319-22)
