Hysterectomy Statistics – An Infographic for the UK

After writing last month about the numbers of hysterectomies being performed in the UK, it seemed like a good idea to try and represent this in some sort of visual format. Whilst it doesn’t include all the hysterectomy statistics that were mentioned in the original blog post, it does cover the major ones – numbers of abdominal hysterectomies, numbers of vaginal hysterectomies and how many were performed in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. It also separates out by age and gender.

  1. Well, they are the official statistics. I think it might refer to either gender reassignment surgery or cases where there are two sets of genitalia present.
