I would highly recommend reading this book. I’ve read a lot of e books and paperbacks prior to my hysterectomy and this is by far the most useful thing that I have read. I got a lot of really helpful tips from this, tips that I haven’t seen anywhere else. I read a number of books by medical professionals, which were great, but they just don’t offer the same practical tricks for a smooth recovery as someone who has actually been through it themselves. Read up on the medical side but DEFINITELY read this too!

I am so glad I found this book, I am now feeling in more control. I have a much better idea of what to expect and I am now ready to ask the right questions to assist me.

I wish I had ordered this sooner. It’s an easy to read helpful guide for any woman undergoing this very significant operation. I’m a 56 year old woman who had my hysterectomy as a result of fibroids. Since my operation 5 weeks ago I’ve referenced to it almost daily. It’s prompted me to keep a diary and I’ve been able too see real progress as a result which has also helped me remain positive as well as giving me permissions to myself to take it easy and not to be expecting miracles too soon. It’s very clear and inclusive in a way which made me feel very ok about having had to have a hysterectomy. I would highly recommend this guide and thank you.

  4. Teana

A useful book. Explains clearly and takes the mystery put .

Thanks Linda here is a book that cuts through all the rubbish and gives you clear concise advice! It’s a very accessible book that is written in a way that gives a clear picture without being negative or scary. A lot of tips for before, during and after your op! It’s worth every penny!

Thank you for the 101 Handy Hints. I enjoyed reading it and found it very useful after my Hysterectomy. I didn’t really have time to prepare for it beforehand, so some of the tips I wasn’t able to use. I will refer to it in the future and look up certain things. I did wish it was a longer thicker book though, I read it too quickly.

  7. Lisa

I have read this book from cover to cover and I dare say I will be reading it lots more from now until after my hysterectomy.
It has given me a big insight into what to expect and lots of do’s and don’ts.

Just received my book and although it took longer than expected to come…it really was worth the wait…
I can honestly say that it is marvellous, informative and ‘loving’
The content is brilliant and although im due to go for my hysterectomy soon and obviously apprehensive, the book seems to have a calming quality (if that makes any sense)…
I would totally recommend this book

  10. Alyson

This is a brilliantly helpful book that takes you all the way through the process and is packed full of tips – most of them very practical in nature which I like.
It takes all the uncertainty away or tips you off on what to ask from whom before it starts.
Invaluable to anyone facing a hysterectomy for any reason really!

It became my life line and at my side every day. It is now almost 7 weeks since my op and feel much better than the early days. The book is amazing and so useful for people undergoing hysterectomies because it is a scary time and we all need help and support. I would love to run a support group. Many many grateful thanks.
