Welcome to the final Writerly Tidbits for 2013 and I have some interesting updates from the Thursday Throng clan. If you’d like to take a peek you can pick it up in the usual places:
This week it’s my great pleasure to welcome Tracy Fells to the Thursday Throng hot seat. Tracy was the winner of this years Hysteria 2013 writing competition with a story called Fibonacci’s Tree. She was also a runner up in last years Hysteria 2012 competition and has had success in several significant short story competitions over the years.
You can read her winning entry over on The Hysterectomy Association website here: hysteria-writing-competition/fibonaccis-tree-winner-hysteria-2013/
It’s been a while since I last did a competitions update, in fact May was the last one I created and I apologise to those of you who have found it useful and helpful. With the two books I was working on now completed though I’ll be getting back into my usual routine of blogging and social networking in the coming week or so. To get myself started I’ve created this months post and below you’ll find all the latest updates you need to find the perfect writing competition to showcase your talent.
In 2012 several hundred women entered the first Hysteria Short Story and Writing Competition. The anthology, Hysteria 1, produced from the winning short stories and poetry is now available to buy through Amazon UK and Amazon US and the Hysterectomy Association. Hysteria 2013 is now open to entries and once again winners will be included in an anthology of short stories to be published at the end of the year.
