An Ode to Love

A friend once shared this poem with me and when I came across it again today I realised I had forgotten it so thought I’d record it to refer to in the future. It’s not only an Ode to Love, but also a reference to change and how change has the capacity to make such enormous differences in our lives. Enjoy

To love is to risk not being loved in return.
To hope is to risk disappointment.
But risks must be taken because the greatest risk in life
is to risk nothing at all.
The person who risks nothing, does nothing,
sees nothing, has nothing and is nothing.
He cannot learn, feel, change, grow, love and live.
