… just about two and half years ago. She is cute, funny and endlessly searching for the next person to adore her. She is, Belle, aka ‘The Beeble’.
She regularly reminds me that life is not about me, rather it’s about her; or rather it’s about her in the sense that she sees far more of the world than I can ever understand; she knows what’s important in life, and makes sure that takes centre stage in every minute of every day. She is generous with her affections, there when you need her; pops her head on your lap when you’re feeling down and jumps up for a cuddle whenever the phone rings. In short, she generally assumes the world revolves around her; which most of the time, it does.
But perhaps the best thing about having a Beeble in your life is that it helps you stop taking everything so seriously. In fact, watching her just doing her thing is one of the fastest ways to relaxation I know. She lives in the moment, doesn’t worry about what’s gone before and isn’t concerned about the future either – she just ‘is’.
She is the perfect example of Three Principles in action; and I’m sure if she could talk, it would be with the utmost common sense.
