Overall category winners announced for Hysteria 2017

So, it’s with great pleasure that I can now reveal the overall category winners of this year’s Hysteria Writing Competition. All three winning entries are featured alongside the other nine finalists in their category in Hysteria 6, the anthology of 30 short-listed entries.

Our overall winners are:

  1. Flash fiction – Stephanie Hutton with You don’t have to talk about your daddy in counselling if you don’t want to. Stephanie will receive a cheque for £75 later this month.
  2. Poetry – Laura Potts with Jane Doe #503. Laura will receive a cheque for £75.
  3. Short story – Lindsay Bamfield with Still Life. Lindsay will receive a cheque for £150.

And the winner of our Guess the Cover competition is Moira Garland – Moira will receive a copy of the anthology before Christmas.

Well done everyone and huge congratulations to our overall winners. It’s never an easy task sending an entry and I hope you’re pleased that you did.
